FirstWIN Sports™ was founded in 2026 out of a simple but frustrating observation: sports organizations at every level were selecting coaches, referees, and support staff based on availability and enthusiasm alone — with no structured process to evaluate whether those individuals were truly the right fit for the role.
We saw knowledgeable volunteers who loved the game but lacked the ability to teach children. We saw well-meaning coaches placed in environments where their style, temperament, or leadership approach was not suited to the athletes they were serving. And we saw organizations with no tools to identify any of this before it became a problem.
The American Academy of Pediatrics reports that 70% of youth athletes quit organized sports by age 13 — and 30% cite negative actions by parents and coaches as their reason for leaving.
So we built one.
